Our friends at Goldgenie reached out to let us know they are getting ready to drop their first NFT collection. It’s called History of Goldgenie (more on that in a moment). To help kick things off, they wanted to run a social media contest for the Centric community.
Since Goldgenie is an ardent supporter of Centric (see their Twitter account) . . . aaaand because they want to give free stuff to a lucky winner within the Centric community . . . we figured why not help them spread the word?
If you’d like a shot at winning the prize—an NFT and a real rose preserved in 24k gold—then read on!
What’s the Deal?
First, let’s be clear. It’s Goldgenie—not Centric—running the contest. Now that we’ve cleared that up . . .
The contest starts on Tuesday, March 29th, and will run for 7 days.
One winner will receive a Goldgenie NFT featuring an image of one of their most popular products—a rose preserved in 24k gold. The winner will also receive an actual 24k gold preserved rose, shipped to their home or office. Sweet!
Here’s how to enter for your chance to win the NFT and 24k Gold Rose combo prize from Goldgenie:
1. Follow @Goldgenie on Twitter 2. Retweet & Like this Twitter post 3. Reply to this Tweet with: https://bit.ly/3tNWxd7 #CentricWarriors #CNS #CNR
Goldgenie will randomly select a winner from among those who complete all three actions. They will contact the winner to arrange for delivery of the NFT to an Ethereum-compatible wallet and for shipping of the physical gold rose. Bam!
And About That Coming NFT Collection?
Goldgenie is planning to launch a History of Goldgenie NFT collection on OpenSea and on the Goldgenie website starting on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.
This exclusive collection contains only six NFTs.
According to Goldgenie’s Founder, Laban Roomes:
“Each NFT in the History of Goldgenie collection celebrates a key highlight of the company’s history, starting with our humble beginning in 1995.”
Roomes says he began his company going door-to-door, offering to gold plate homeowners’ bathroom taps and car emblems.
Goldgenie went on to create luxury iPods and iPhones for celebrities, including Elton John, The Beckhams, Floyd Mayweather, Usain Bolt, P. Diddy, Mark Wahlberg, and Will Smith. Roomes also appeared on the hit BBC television show, Dragon’s Den, where he scored an investment from multi-millionaire entrepreneur James Caan.
By the way, did we mention all six NFTs in the collection come with the following “unlockable content”?
