We are always on the lookout for interesting exhibitions on Gold and opulence at Goldgenie and a current exhibition at The Queen’s Gallery, Palace of Holyroodhouse, (the Queen’s official residence in Scotland) has caught our eyes. Aptly entitled “GOLD”, the exhibition is a showcase of over 60 items from the Royal Collection, dating from the Early Bronze Age to the 20th Century. The fascinating exhibition explores the features that make Gold an everlasting symbol of earthly and divine value. It also shows us the vast range of uses of Gold from bookbinding to jewellery craftsmanship.
One of the many reasons to take to a trip to Scotland this summer, GOLD is on until Sunday, 26 July 2015.
