Not that I am car crazy or anything but if you bring a gold plated Mercedes c63 AMG to my attention Bloggess must do what a Bloggess does best and that is to share it with all of you! Some might say; “why would you buy a gold plated car?” If by some stroke of luck I was able to afford a gold plated Mercedes my answer to that question would be: “Because I can!” Standard.
The gold plated work of art, made by Mercedes was designed with the richest people on the planet in mind. It first made an appearance in Dubai, which poses the question; what is it with the Middle East??? It seems anything that screams pure unnecessary luxury can be found there and it seems it can be found in abundance!
Something tells me a visit to Dubai is in order so I can experience some of these new heights of luxury in person! I feel a holiday coming along, destination Dubai, this is where I want to stay:
Entrance to Royal Suite, Burj Al Arab, Dubai: £3,392 a night. The Royal Suite on the 25th floor positively screams luxury with its marble and gold staircase, leopard print tufted carpets and private cinema. The master bedroom has a rotating four-poster canopy bed. And a helicopter is available …at extra cost of course. Or here:
Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi: £6,110 a night
Described on their website as your “private palace within the Palace”, think acres of gold leaf and imagine what the Princes suites, reserved for sheikhs, might feature.
