Well done in Doha Erik Stark!

Erik Stark did Goldgenie proud at the F1H20 Powerboat Championship in Qatar at the weekend.  Lady Fortune was not on his side as his engine broke in the first qualifying race on Friday, which meant he had to start in last position in the main Grand Prix race on Saturday.

Saying that, he gave a solid performance and finished 6th in the big race, putting him into a very respectable fourth place in this year’s international performance table.

If you missed it, the race is well worth watching.  The boats go so fast they are almost flying!  And the event was not without drama as a couple of engine fires had to be put out… The video of it can be be found here.

We are now revving up and looking forward to this week’s race in Abu Dhabi on Friday 21st!
